The Indicee 100% cloud-based BI platform is all about simplicity – it is designed with the business user in mind. Users are personally involved with the BI process from transforming data to running queries to creating dashboards to delivering reports – without having someone else do it for them. And they need it in an affordable way.

Indicee’s platform allows for cloud-to-cloud or ground-to-cloud data connection. Data can be transferred in three ways: data can be uploaded into a data library via Indicee’s web interface or via a data connector. Also, users can create their own connectors via Indicee’s API functionality. The Indicee platform accepts data from multiple sources.

Users have the ability to share data results either online (with the ability for other collaborators to provide comments on the results) or offline. Reports can be exported to either Excel or a PDF.

With a cloud-based platform, there are security issues to consider. Indicee’s platform provides strong security features – their data servers are housed on a virtual private network and that they have up-to-date browser security (using SSL v3 data encryption for data transformation). Each client gets their own dedicated database. Another excellent security feature is the access control – administrators can decide individual access, who can modify, view, or share results, and so on. Access control can be customized per user.

We also want to note that Indicee offers a Salesforce Analytics platform for sales and marketing professionals. This platform has a dedicated pre-built Salesforce data library, so users can go ahead and create new reports and dashboards. There is also an app for Sales Analytics – in this app, there are four sales operation dashboards (sales adoption, sales leader, sales impact, and sales top opps). Finally, there is also the Chatter Analytics app for social data. Users can track trends and adoptions via the app’s nine dashboards – among those dashboards are follows, posts & comments, and tags & mentions.

Features

The Indicee platform provides some good features, some that are listed below. One main feature we want to point out is data modeling. Indicee can help guide users in data mapping and users can test specific data associations during this process.

Users can also create reports without having to run query languages. Users can ask a simple question regarding their data and select specific field names. There is also the interactive dashboard where users can decide charts and data layout, be it in a pie graph, in text format, or in a bar graph.
