Why Clickbase

Clickbase is a good buy for small and medium-sized companies that have limited resources to spend, and still want to use a fully-functional BI solution.

Product Details

Clickbase is one of the few vendors that have been providing BI and analytics solutions since the late 1990s. Like other vendors, Clickbase’s BI solution is designed for integration of data from multiple sources and formats and presented in a single source in real time.  And it doesn’t require knowledge of programming to use it.

Clickbase works with other financial application solutions (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle Financials, Sage, and Accountmate, to name a few) that includes built-in reports and templates, drag-and-drop functionality, and financial and sales reporting features.

Clickbase also offers these following components that users can customize:

Toolkit – The Toolkit is used to connect multiple data sources to combine a single source of information.

Anchor Server – This component serves as a backup in case Clickbase’s server fails. It also serves as a tool for integrating large amounts of data.

Report Writer – Users can build reports from multiple sources, such as Excel.

Web Portal – With this component, users can share data and reports to others, such as clients or remote employees. The user or administrator can control who can see the data.

Clickbase also offers solutions for specific job titles, such as executives and IT. Executives can use Clickbase to query number of products sold or if they’re in compliance with regulatory agencies, for example.

Implementation/Integration

Clickbase notes that the implementation process is done in hours, rather than days or weeks. There are no servers or hardware to buy, so operating costs can be low. Clickbase installs a Virtual Warehouse that users can access at any time and in real time. Users won't need to spend time and money in building a data warehouse.

Clickbase provides training in one 2-hour session (roughly 5 hours for users who want to explore Clickbase's more advanced functionalities.)

Customer Service & Support

Clickbase offers customer support via the Essential Support Plan. This program covers software maintenance, such as periodic software upgrades, and user support (access to Clickbase's Knowledge base and its Web-based training module). Customers can also access user manuals, submit support requests, or submit a request for new features - all through Clickbase's website.

Shortcomings

Clickbase is one of the few vendors that doesn't offer mobile functionality - it is unknown whether it will be offered in the future.
